We are honored to have Mike Burgett serve as President of the Ohio Farmer Veteran Coalition. With deep roots in Ohio agriculture, Mike’s journey began on a dairy farm in Northeast Ohio before pursuing his education at Ohio State University and dedicating 33 years to service in the Ohio Army National Guard. His military leadership as a colonel and Brigade Commander, coupled with his return to farming alongside his wife Cindy, embodies the values of resilience and dedication that define our mission. Over the past decade, Mike has transformed their farm from 15 acres to 98, growing a thriving enterprise that includes livestock, produce, and grains.

Mike’s leadership is grounded in firsthand experience of the challenges and triumphs faced by veteran farmers, making him uniquely equipped to guide our mission. His unwavering commitment inspires us to support veterans in building their own sustainable agricultural futures.
